Raphaël Glucksmann: 'If we are prophets of doom, then Donald Trump is a pathetic clown'

Our guest is Raphaël Glucksmann, a French MEP from the Socialists & Democrats group, who was leader of the "Place Publique" movement during the last European elections. He wants to reconcile social and environmental issues. Glucksmann strongly criticises US President Donald Trump, as well as climate change deniers, calling the latter "criminals against the future of their own people and against the future of mankind in general". He also criticises those in the EU who speak of a climate emergency but at the same time back free trade agreements, such as the EU-Vietnam trade deal.
