Serious Collision Newton Poppleford

At 16:49 hours on Wednesday 23^rd December 2020, Police were notified of a single vehicle road traffic collision, involving a Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian, on the A3052 High Street, in Newton Poppleford, Devon (OSGR 308580, 089731).


South West Ambulance Services and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident. A 93-year old pedestrian was taken to The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with life threatening injuries. High Street was closed for approximately four hours to allow for an examination of the scene, and recovery of a vehicle. 


Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact Police on 101, quoting log 753 of 23^rd December 2020.
