Republican senators eager to see Tulsi Gabbard's FBI file because of her Snowden stance

Checking FBI files is a norm for all Cabinet nominees but for Tulsi Gabbard, the senators want to look if some previously unknown information, including possible foreign contacts, come out. As of now, however, they are treating Gabbard with deference and not criticizing her publicly. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), an Intelligence Committee member, said to Punchbowl that he has “no doubt that she’s a patriot,” but he wants to question Gabbard on her posture toward Russia.
