Bridge cordoned off after car gets lodged underneath in Storm Dennis floods

A car has been found lodged underneath a bridge in Exmoor, Somerset due to the raging water caused by recent Storm Dennis rainfall.

The local fire department released a statement saying: "Luckily the driver was able to escape from the vehicle with the help of the public before it was swept under the bridge.

"On arrival of Porlocks appliance the Incident commander confirmed no persons where trapped and the crew made the scene safe by putting a cordon in place and closing the foot bridge." This footage was filmed on February 16.
