Authorities say the suspect is charged with aggravated assault and is undergoing a mental evaluation.

A jones county man is in jail, accused of multiple incidents of terroristic threats and acts.

Law enforcement says 54-year-old travis ball sent letters to the jones county sheriff's office and the jones county superior court clerk's office during the last week, threatening to kill employees and blow up buildings.

They say a powdery substance was in both letters that ball claimed was anthrax.

Investigators searched ball's home tuesday, and found similar letters that had not been mailed yet.
