Thousands of workers could be made redundant after the government announces a £500m support package for Britain's largest steelworks in south Wales.
The funding will allow Port Talbot's plant to replace its pollutant blast furnaces with greener electric arc ones after the company warned last year that it would have to close its UK operations unless it received backing to move to less carbon-intensive methods.
But given the more efficient furnaces require less workers to run them, around 3,000 people are now thought to be at risk of losing their jobs.
