New BMW M4 Competition video review: 2021's hottest coupe driven
Published
With more than 500bhp on tap, BMW's new super-coupé promises stellar performance. Does it deliver?
The all-new 2021 BMW M4 Competition is the latest hot M-car to be based on BMW's 4-Series. And it's a stonker. It has some 503bhp (510hp) from that most notable of BMW powertrains - a straight-six cylinder petrol engine, here 3.0-litres in size and with two single scroll turbos.
It drives the back wheels only (although an all-wheel drive version will be available in the summer) via an eight-speed auto and a limited-slip differential, and even comes with a M Drift Analyser to score how well you've oversteered. We have a video on the channel of an M3 vs an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio where you can see it in action.
Performance is mega. The M4 can go from 0-62mph in just 3.8sec and on to a 180mph top speed (if you tick the M Driver's Package option). It costs £76,055 in the UK (Rs. 1.36 Cr in India, $74,700 in the USA). Join us as we drive the M4 on British roads.
