David Fincher gives ‘Seven’ a final, 4K UHD glow up for its 30th anniversary

David Fincher's 1995 crime thriller “Seven” is coming back to theaters this weekend for its 30th anniversary. But it's not just any old print of the Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman film: It's a brand new restoration, overseen by Fincher, for the high definition age. It'll play in IMAX theaters for the first time, and then on Jan. 7 be available at home in 4K UHD. Fincher spoke to The Associated Press about cleaning up the movie for high def, but preserving its spirit, saying, “It’s a document of its time and I believe that movies should be that.”
