Fashion maestro Giorgio Armani marked 20 years of his haute couture line Armani Privé with an elegant and emotionally charged show in Paris’s chic 8th arrondissement. The 90-year-old designer presented a collection on Tuesday reflecting his unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, refinement and tradition. Some guests were moved to tears as he took his bow at the show’s end. Armani said that “Haute couture is fashion when it becomes art.” He described the ethos behind Privé. Armani launched the line in January 2005. The name itself evokes rarity and exclusivity. It serves as a platform for showcasing meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design.
