James Blake Announces New 'Covers' EP
It's out on December 11th...
*James Blake* has announced plans for new EP 'Covers'.
The songwriter has pepped 2020 with new ideas, ranging from IG Live concerts to his own take on Frank Ocean's 'Godspeed'.
Indeed, this song will now form the fulcrum of a new EP, featuring some hand-picked cover versions.
Out on December 11th, the release follows on from those IG Live concert. James Blake comments...
“One of the things keeping me going mentally throughout lockdown has been the requests from fans for different covers and performing them on Instagram. It’s been a joy to discover new music and new ways of playing songs I’ve already heard.”
Of the EP, James adds: “I might even throw in a surprise that no one has heard me play on socials before. I’m excited to share it with people.”
James Blake launched the EP with a performance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, performing his take on the oft-covered standard 'The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face'.
