It's out on October 1st...
New compilation 'Pop Psychédélique' brings together different generations of French pop with a psychedelic feel.
Our French cousins has a particular approach to psychedelia, translating the innovations of English and American artists into something peculiarly Gallic.
This new compilation offers a cross-generational survey, moving from Serge Gainsbourg and France Gall through to Stereolab and beyond.
'Pop Psychédélique' tackles freakbeat, sitar-drenched psychedelia, and dance floor classics, with some tracks - Gillian Hills' 'Tut Tut Tut Tut' for example - gaining a burst of popularity through their use on soundtracks such as The Queen's Gambit.
C'est formidable, oui? Pre-order on double jasmine yellow vinyl and cd *here.*
