While celebrating the first anniversary of 'Gadar 2's success, Anil Sharma discussed the rising costs associated with film entourages in an interview with Pinkvilla. He suggested that investing these expenses into the film's production might be more beneficial. Manoj Bajpayee had previously described these costs as a double-edged sword, noting that films are made with stars’ market values in mind and it’s unrealistic to expect them to lower their fees due to the perks they bring. In response, Sharma questioned the effectiveness of star power, pointing out that even major stars are achieving only around Rs. 2 crore in openings. He emphasized that successful films today are driven by strong content.
