In U-turn, Telangana lets two-child policy stay

The Congress government has decided not to relax the two-child norm for local elections, maintaining the current rule which disqualifies candidates with more than two children. The decision followed Andhra Pradesh's repeal of the policy, and proposed amendments were not included in the Panchayat Raj bill.
