Gang robs 40ton supari & pepper worth Rs 5 crore from Panvel customs warehouse

Around 35 men at knifepoint stole 40 tonnes of black pepper and betel nuts worth over Rs 5 crore from a customs bonded warehouse in Panvel, marking the third dacoity in three years. The thieves broke open the locks and loaded the goods onto trucks before fleeing. The Panvel city police filed an FIR against the unidentified accused.
