Can Mpox become the new Covid?

A deadly strain of mpox from Central Africa, Clade 1B, has killed at least 450 in the Democratic Republic of Congo and spread to Sweden, Pakistan, and other countries. The World Health Organization declared it a global health emergency. Mpox spreads through contact with infected animals or humans, and preventive measures are urged.
