NTPC Limited, the biggest utility in India which generates much of the power from coal, is almost doubling its target for installed renewables capacity by 2032, the company said at a conference call this weekend. NTPC aims to have as much as 60 gigawatts (GW) of installed renewable energy capacity by 2032, up from a previous target of 32 GW, finance director A.K.
