Uzbek Police Bust Three Involved In Million-Dollar Radioactive Materials Sale

Police in Uzbekistan say they have arrested three men for plotting to sell homemade devices containing mercury and weapons-grade radioactive material for $1 million.  The group was caught in a sting operation while attempting to sell a device containing 1 kilogram of mercury in exchange for an advance payment of $200,000, the Interior Ministry in Samarkand said on February 17.
