Two Russian Oil Tankers Spill Oil Into Black Sea After Running Aground

Two Russian oil tankers believed to have drifted before running aground offshore have spilt oil in the Black Sea in the Kerch Strait, which separates Russia from Crimea.  According to Russian officials quoted by Tass news agency, the tankers were carrying around 4,300 dead weight tonnes of oil each, with Russian authorities investigating the incidents for criminal negligence.
