UPDATED: Serious incident, Barnstaple

Police were called to Bear Street, Barnstaple, at around 4.20pm on Monday 26 October following reports of a disorder involving three people.

Two men, both aged in their 30s, sustained stab wounds and were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They both remain in hospital in a stable condition.

A 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm has been released on police bail until 23 November while enquiries continue.Police are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
