Man Now Charged In Relation To Serious Assault, Fitzwilliam Street, Huddersfield

A 19 year-old man appeared before Magistrates this morning charged in connection with a serious assault on Fitzwilliam Street in Huddersfield.

Jay Maven Coupes (19) of Fitzwilliam Street appeared before Kirklees Magistrates Court charged with section 18 wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court.

The 19-year -old was charged in relation to an alleged assault on a 42-year old man which took place between 1.15 and 1.35am on Sunday July 25.
