Police were called shortly after 2.30pm on Friday 3 December to the A3052 at Sidmouth following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

The collision involved a black Renault Clio and a blue VW Exclusive.

The driver of the Cleo, a man in his 80’s was taken to Derriford hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger in the Cleo, a woman in her 80’s, plus the driver of the VW who is a man in his 70’s was also both taken to hospital but with less serious injuries.

The road was closed for eight hours as investigation work at the scene took place; police would like to thank the public for their patience during this time.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage that could assist with enquiries.
