Serious injury collision, A30 Honiton

Police investigating a road traffic collision on the A30 near Honiton at the weekend are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike on the westbound carriageway of the A30 at around midday on Saturday 26 February.

The motorcyclist, a woman in her 50s, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

She sustained a number of injuries, but they are not considered to be life threatening or life changing and her condition has since been described as stable.

The road was closed for around two hours while officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team examined the scene, and police would like to thank the public for their patience with this.
