Appeal After Driver Seriously Injured in Collision in Shepley

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver was seriously injured in a collision in Shepley.

A call was received at 9:34pm on Saturday (6 July) reporting a car on its roof on Penistone Road, Shepley. It is reported that the black Mercedes A180 collided with a stone wall outside The Sovereign pub and two parked vehicles in the car park.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mercedes, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as life threatening.
