Detectives have released CCTV footage of a violent street robbery in Leeds city centre as they appeal for the public’s help to identify the thug responsible.
The victim, a 53-year-old man, has given his consent to the footage being released in the hope it will lead to the attacker being named.
He had been waiting for a taxi in Merrion Street at about 4.30am on Sunday, June 30, when the suspect began loitering next to him.
The suspect walked away before returning and snatching the man’s phone and punching him to the ground.
