Appeal: Serious Injury Collision, Huddersfield

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a serious injury collision in Huddersfield.
The incident involved a black Nissan Juke car and a male pedestrian, and occurred at about 6.10pm today (Friday) on Wakefield Road, outside Tru Gym in the Moldgreen area.
The pedestrian, 53, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which were said to be life-threatening.
A 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody at this time.
