Man Charged With Anti-Semitic Hate Crime Over Protest Speech

A man has been charged with an anti-Semitic hate crime over comments made during a speech at a pro-Palestine protest in Leeds.
Hichem Ben-Abdallah, aged 65, of Moorland Avenue, Gildersome, has been charged with racially/religiously aggravated harassment by words or writing in relation to a speech made during opposing protests outside Leeds Art Gallery on May 11 this year, which were attended by 300-400 people.
West Yorkshire Police received a number of complaints in relation to the comments, which led to his arrest on May 18.
