Appeal: Serious Collision Whinney Lane, Pontefract

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Pontefract between a car and a cyclist.

It happened at around 13.10 on Wednesday 7 August on Whinney Lane when a grey Vauxhall Zafira and a bicycle were in collision.

The cyclist a man in his 70s was taken to hospital with serious injuries, he remains in hospital in a critical condition.  

At the time the cyclist was wearing a bright blue long sleeved top.

The driver stopped at the scene and helped police with their enquiries.
