Appeal: Serious Injury Collision, Pontefract

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Pontefract.

It occurred in Sprockhoevel Way at about 11.13am yesterday (Friday) and involved a black Vauxhall Crossland X, which was travelling towards Hemsworth when it left the road and went into bushes.  

The driver, a 62-year-old man, was taken to hospital, where his condition is said to be critical. 

The Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or the movements of the vehicle prior to it.
