On the hunt for Jesus ‘El Cautivo’ in the streets of Malaga

Our Father Jesus the Captive – commonly known as El Cautivo – is one of the most notable works of José Gabriel Martín Simón and the most venerated image of the people of the Andalusian city of Málaga. Martín Simón created the life-size statue of Christ for the recently formed Hermandad de Jesús Cautivo (Brotherhood
