Prince Philip in Northern Ireland: Duke's tours of country since first visit in 1946

Prince Philip first came to Northern Ireland in March 1946, accompanying the then Princess Elizabeth, who was officially launching HMS Eagle, then Britain’s largest aircraft carrier, from the Harland & Wolff shipyard.
