Truss pledge over protocol ‘a good start’ but DUP chief says he needs action

The DUP “won’t be rushed” into nominating an Assembly Speaker and forming a new Executive despite the Government’s pledge to introduce legislation to scrap parts of the Northern Ireland Protocol, senior sources have said.
