Can a spoilt and prickly King Charles preserve the British monarchy?

We’re all royalists now, apparently. Even Sinn Féin. That’s a joke. Obviously. The attendance of lifelong republicans at events in Northern Ireland last week to mark Queen Elizabeth’s death and the succession of the new King does not mean they have abandoned their anti-monarchical principles or bear any warmer feelings toward ancient British institutions.
