Bono has never been afraid to be vocal on peace

In October 1998, after it was announced John Hume had won the Nobel Peace Prize with David Trimble, Bono invited Hume, his wife Pat and their friend and SDLP colleague Tim Attwood to his Killiney home for lunch.
