Peter Mandelson pressed Alliance Party to redesignate as unionists

Peter Mandelson urged Northern Ireland’s cross-community Alliance Party to redesignate as unionists at Stormont in 1999 to facilitate the formation of a powersharing government, declassified papers have revealed.
