Ancient beach buried by Mount Vesuvius eruption nearly 2,000 years ago reopens

The ancient beach in Italy was covered by a three-metre blanket of volcanic ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD, with more than 1,000 people thought to have died following the eruption.
