Emergency services called to Herefordshire village

Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Ewyas Harold and Peterchurch Fire Stations were called at 17:28 on 28 September to a wood burning stove fire in Wormbridge. A fire in the flue to a woodburner had been extinguished before the arrival of the fire service. The flue was checked using a 9m ladder, working at height equipment and chimney gear. There were no casualties and no other emergency service were required. The incident was marked as pending closure at 18:27.
