Nowhere spared as UK to be smashed by four days of rain and strong winds as 60 flood alerts issued

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the North West for between 2pm and 6pm today that could see up to 30mm of rain fall, with a second warning in place for winds of up to 70mph across much of England, Wales and Northern Ireland from 3pm today until 3am tomorrow.
