While many are boarding up their windows like at Campus Bicycle but not every business owner is depending on boards to protect their livelihood.

Many here at home are concerned for their businesses.

Hayley, while many are boarding up their windows - like these at campus bicylce - some tell me they're confident the police will protect them.

Not every business owner is depending on boards to protect their livelihood... "i have a great deal of faith in our community i think our police chief spoke very eloquently, i think a different town- a different thing, my hope is that people protest as they should but they don't take advantage of this tragedy," but others are being proactive when it comes safeguarding their business.

Schwab says he had billson construction put 5 boards up around campus bicycle on monday night.

"damage to the building that wouldn't be easily replaceable like a fire but windows are replaceable, merchandise is replaceable," nat screw gun billson says he plans to help other businesses around chico to board their business this week.
