"* this building on norh broadway avenue is one of the places that will soon provide shelter to some of rochester's most vulnerable residents.

During the coronavirus pandemic ?

"* many of the homeless have been staying here ?

"* at the temporary day center that set up at the mayo civic center back in march.

But the day center isn't a permanent solution ?

And they're helping the homeless with much more than just a place to live.xxx so what we're doing is we're providing people with the support services, the stabilization services so they know how to thrive when they get new housing opportunities and we can bring the support to them and kind of take care of some of their other about 45 people have applied for permanent housing and there are 30 housing units available.

So the h?

"*a i interviewing the applicants and trying to figure out how to best meet their needs.

They'll start moving into the units ?

"* inlcuding the ones in this building ?

"* late this month or early next month.

Thanks raquel.

The day center is scheduled to close at the end of this month.
