Where we love to go out to eat.

Local restaurant owners are busy making the time and money investment getting their business ready to resume tomorrow....at half capacity.

But....they are smiling, under the mask.

Newschannel 2's joleen ferris reports.

6:41 "we have the best experts that you could possibly have reviewing this and they've reviewed it and five regions will enter phase 3 tomorrow, friday" words anxiously awaited...and heard, live, by phase three business owners, like herkimer county restaurant owner, francesca magro 16:35 "oh, i was watching today, yeah" now, she and her staff are preparing to open on monday, taking the weekend to make sure they get it right .

None .

None 18:11 "we're gonna have signs that say you cannot sit at these tables.

We're still gonna leave them in there in case there are parties because you can have up to ten people at a table.

Exes are already on the floor for takeout lines.

Takeout helped sustain the restaurant and its staff, which is most important to francesca and her family 17:50 "that was our huge thing, making sure they had a job and our servers, still giving them hours in side, curbside, the drliveries that are ordered.

Our servers became delivery drivers" like so many others, they adapted....and did what athey had to do to survive 9:33 "nervous and excited, but more excited.

We just wanna do the right thing" eric del buono owns cafe del buono and props inn, in new hartford.

They open for inside dining tomorrow.

He only has 12 tables at delbuono to begin with, so cutting that in half will hurt.

But again, he'll adapt 6:12 "we have it worked out.

The other place we're just gonna take some tables out.

We may put those in front of the building if people wanna have a drink while they're waiting.

So that'll kind of offset us losing that part of the business" their livelihoods, decimated by a global pandemic....local restaurant owners are excited to build it back up..... 9:25 "never thought i'd see this in my lifetime" jf, nc2.
