Highway Safety Services is expanding

Highway safety services will receive a Tax Abatement on the new building, and the expansion will create 10 new jobs.

A million and half dollars in to the community.

Highway safety services is a full service provider of traffic safety devices and pavement markings.

The company is expanding on an 11 acre site thats located on county road 500 east which is just north of u.s. 52.

The site will have a new 20-thousand square foot building with both office space and an equipment yard.

Tippecanoe county commissioner tom murtaugh says having a local highway safety company expanding..will benefit the comunity with future road projects.

"we have a lot of state projects local projects in which those types of materials are needed and obviously its cheaper if they can find those things locally rather than having to outsource those from another community."
