Video released by Kyiv Pride NGO featured a flag waving at over 100-meter height next to the Motherland Monument, Ukraine's highest statue.
Due to the coronavirus restrictions, an annual pride march was replaced with a series of online events, including the video posted on Kyiv Pride Facebook page.
Pride marches in Ukraine regularly attract counter protests by right-wing and religious activists, and LGBTQ activists say homophobia remains widespread in the country.
