Lexington businesses could be in line for city grants of as much as 25 thousand dollars by the end of july.

But the urban council staff and city administrators must answer a long list of questions raised by the council's budget committee today.

The questions came during a discussion of the ground rules for the city's new 2 point 5 million grant program to help businesses come back from the coronavirus shutdown.

The money is included in the new city budget that takes effect july 1.

At least half the money will go to minority and woman-owned businesses.
