Demonstrations in Monticello over racial injustice

The fight against racial injustice continues in the state of Indiana including in rural Monticello.

Many there say it starts with education and communication news 18's marvin bills spent the evening in monticello and spoke to many of the demonstrators and shares their reaction.

"all we are trying to do tonight is uphold the constitution that all men are createiberty and justice for all, that's all we are trying to do."

19-year-old monticello native london griesey organized the demonstration.

She wanted to keep the same message on racial injustice, but a different call to action.

"you have to become an informed voter and vote for people that will promote policies that will fix our broken institutions."
