Hundreds of cars lined the Northrop High School parking lot Tuesday, all full of members of the community thanking an educator who has been with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 47 years.

Hundreds of cars lined up to say a final goodbye and thank you to former fort wayne community schools superintendent doctor wendy robinson today.fox 55's jeremy masukevich tells us what the educator will miss most after nearly half a century in the district.

Nat robinsonit reminds me of what we missed when we were separated for almost four months.one by one cars rolled into the parking lot of northrop high school.lower third: dr. wendy robinson, former fwcs superintendent sot robinson this is just like homecoming.

These are all people i haven't been able to see and i didn't get the chance to say goodbye.fwcs students, parents, teachers, and members of the community all lined up to thank the former superintendent for forty-seven years of service.

Nat steve we came out today to support dr. robinson.

I'm 41 years old and she was my principal when i was in the 5th grade.now a teacher with fwcs steve armstrong says during his visit with robinson she challenged him to continue doing what is best for students.lower third: steve armstrong, fwcs teacher sot steve i think she is one of the most visionary people i have met.

So i'm going to take some of those traits from her and do what i can to continue that in the district to keep her legacy going.

Indiana governor eric holcomb recently honored robinson with the circle of corydon award.lower third: phil giaquinta, indiana state representative sot phil starting in kindergarten all the way to superintendent she has spent her whole career here in fw, and fwcs and has just done and great job.

We work as a team, and appreciate each other.sot wendy this is giving me the opportunity to laugh, see people i haven't seen in a little while and thank them.
