Newswatch 12's alicia rubin has been in yreka today as firefighters receive new technology to help them fight the badger fire during the coronavirus pandemic.

This is a new scanner that will take each firefighter's temperature as they come into the fire camp.

Calfire says this device will hopefully help them track if anyone is sick and help prevent the spread of covid-19 along the fireline.
