The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation says two student-athletes within the district have tested positive for COVID-19.
High School Sports Will Continue As Scheduled in Indiana
Has the game plan.
On wednesday the ihsaa announced that all fall sports will start on time as regularly scheduled.
The announcement that yeah we're going to proceed as followed, makes me feel a little bit better.
It makes me feel like we're moving in the right direction since we've seen so many conferences in the university level pushing back and moving their sports into the spring i just really hope that this is a step in the right direction.
We're excited for our kids that we get to continue at this point.
Obviously everything's fluid.
I think it's kind of a day by day approach but we have just been trying to what we can here obviously trying to be as safe as possible, and also get as ready as we can.
Now the next step for coaches and school administrators is to continue to provide safe environments to practice and play in for athletes.
We've been following everything to a tee and i think we'll continue to do that obviously.
So i don't know what more that we can do but just continuing to say focused on making sure that we can do everything as safe as we can, and keeping the kids as safe as we possibly can.
I'm sanitizing pennies every night every girl has got their own, we don't share, they've all got their own water the water is all closed off they each have their own individual bottle of hand sanitizer.
We wipe and sanitize the soccer balls , the hurdles, the cones, anything we use and we're just going to continue to do that, we're just going to keep doing all the measures that we've been
