California releases youth sport guidelines on Monday.

This includes school, club and recreational sports.

A hand full of local athletes are saddened by the news and believe this may impact their future of playing ball at the next level... according to the state's new guidelines--- any sport event that would promote congregating outside or inside are not allowed.

This rule applies to school, club and recreational sports regardless of whether teams are from the same school or county.

This all come after the northern section gave county's the go- ahead to play sports in the fall if it was safe to do so... the decision has been taken out of our hands and so now we have to follow what the department of public health guidelines that they institute.

Its hard knowing that it might now happen, that my junior year could've been the last opportunity i had to showcase my skills... all we could do at this point is just cross our fingers and wait the california interscholastic federation planned to start sports next year.

But according to the northern section commissioner, the state's newest guidelines must be lifted.
