Medford School District will continue to provide free meals
The School District says they are looking to expand their services.

Fall?

Newswatch 12's adam schumes spoke with the school district today to get learn about its meal plans.

School may not be in session right now but the medford school district tells me that they are hard at work making sure their students are feed even though school will be a little different in the fall.

In a time that is ever changing --- "its heartbreaking to hear from our familes what this pandemic has been like for them" the medford school district is changing with the times and so i mean everybody's given all the uncertainty i will tell you people are holding up remarkably well.

With schools transiting to online learning in the fall --- "we are excitied to bring our teachers back.

They will be teaching from their schools" the school district wants to make sure their students can excell in every aspect "and so we will continue with providing meals through our partner, sedexo, um, as long long as we're doing distance learning.

And then obviously the meals would be available once we go back to in person" its a meal service thats free for kids 18 and under " we have hamburgers and tater tots.

We also have fresh produce in all of our meals" and as these time change so does the medford school district and their food service "not only having meals at our brick and mortor schools but also utlizating our partners at first students and putting food on school buses and dispatching those buses into some of the neighboorhoods where our familes need the food the most.

So as we grow and learn during this pandemic so will our students "this is a really really tough time and i know thats why providing these meals is so critical"
