A new trail is coming to Salisbury Street and Grant Street in West Lafayette.

The trail will be centrally located within the city.

It will extend from purdue university tthe west lafayette wellness and aquatic center.

Landscape director, eric lucas, says the goal is to connect residents to a wide variety of places and businesses.

"we don't often have the safest facilities for pedestrians and bicyclist.

So by integrating this multi- use trail out of the road, we are able to safely get people to where they want to go."

Right now the project is within its final stage.

The final stage will go through 20-20 into early 20-21.
